Video game marketing research firm DFC Intelligence posted results of their GamerDNA survey data taken from Xbox Live for January. Looks like Mass Effect 2 is the only game that even came close to Modern Warfare 2's numbers.
Mass Effect 2 outsold all other games in January except for Modern Warfare 2 by a factor of "at least" 6 to 1.
This information comes from blog post by video game market research firm, DFC Intelligence, on Industry Gamers. The firm tracks Xbox 360 usage by "monitoring plays registered by the GamerDNA audience on Xbox Live." The group says its method allowed them to successfully predict Modern Warfare 2 sales for Xbox 360.
Now, using the same method, DFC claims that Mass Effect 2 outsold Bayonetta, Assassin's Creed II, and just about everything else in January by 6 to 1. They predict total sales of the game on Xbox 3560 will hit 1.1 million units.
